Onyx Family presents B.E. You Family network; an initiative meeting the needs and addressing the unique challenges of underrepresented Black creators on social media platforms and other entertainment venues. We collaborate, fund and show support to Black creators providing quality family friendly content in the market place.
WHO ARE WE?
Mirthell and Rita from the Onyx Family are the founders of B.E. You Family Network. Their Onyx Family brand includes Onyx Family, Onyx Kids, Playonyx, Cardionyx, Onyx Soul, Onyx Flix, and Onyx Family Podcast Network. Their Onyx Family brand has extended beyond YouTube into Amazon, music, publishing, podcasts, mainstream programming, a fitness app, clothing and merchandise. They also have a platform called Onyx Flix that was created to support the Onyx Family branded media content as well as other Black creators and creators of color on and off YouTube. With their knowledge and success, they are committed to helping other Black creators and families navigate YouTube, Social Media and the Entertainment marketplace successfully so that our voices, talents and presence can be represented proportionately.
OUR HISTORY
In 2016 the Onyx Family launched their channel on YouTube and found immediate success. It became a mission of theirs to impact the black community in a positive way not only through their entertainment but also through supporting other black creators and influencers of color to do likewise. So, in 2018 they launched the B.E. You Family Network initiative partnering with other black family YouTubers. Our mission was and is to help support underrepresented black Creators, YouTubers and influencers of color achieve their goals as entertainers.
Our first joint program was a Christmas meet and greet for our fans. It was an opportunity to give back to our fans and community. We invited underrepresented Black Creators, YouTubers, and influencers of color to attend and join the B.E. You Family Network.
Since our establishment, the Onyx Family has been able to help Black creators, establish their brands, launch a successful social media presence, help support charity events, and facilitate collaborations and creative projects.
